Manufacturing capability

From specified CRGO to a drawing-controlled core

Cut-to-length processing width
Up to 890 mm
Monthly processing capacity
Approximately 1,500 t
Single-core manufacturing capability
Up to 100 t; geometry, assembly and handling reviewed per project
Material options
Conventional GOES, high-permeability Hi-B and laser-scribed grades
Steel thickness
0.18 / 0.20 mm; 0.23 / 0.27 / 0.30 mm by specification and availability
Manufacturing controls
Burr height <0.02 mm; stacking factor >97%

These are manufacturing capability figures, not unconditional acceptance values for every design. Material, coating, stack condition, measurement method and drawing tolerances are agreed for the order.

Material identification, slitting, step-lap cutting, pre-stacking and assembly follow the released drawing and lamination schedule. See the transformer core manufacturing process and the available CRGO electrical steel supply.

Choose your supply scope

What arrives, and what your factory completes

Cut laminations
Identified limb and yoke pieces. Your factory arranges the joint sequence, stacks and clamps the core. See cut CRGO laminations.
Pre-stacked packets
Counted, identified groups prepared in the agreed stacking sequence. Your factory completes the core assembly and clamping.
Assembled core
A stacked magnetic circuit with the clamping and accessories specified in the order. Winding installation, upper-yoke access and delivery condition are agreed before manufacture.

For SKD or CKD requests, specify the actual components and assembly responsibilities. Clamps, insulation, grounding parts, lifting provisions and transport supports are included only when stated in the agreed supply scope.

Match the core to the transformer design: dry-type winding and clamping interfaces or oil-immersed active-part interfaces.

Acceptance and records

Define how the finished core will be accepted

Material and dimensional checks

Confirm the steel grade, thickness, coating and coil identification. Agree the dimensions to inspect, drawing revision, measurement method and required records. Our quality-control checkpoints connect material traceability with assembly and delivery checks.

Finished-core loss requirements

State the loss limit together with frequency, flux density, core condition and test method. A mill test certificate is not a finished-core loss guarantee. See the distinction between material data and finished-core performance.

Manufacturing references

Examples of different delivery requirements

125 MVA five-limb core project

An assembled five-limb core reference for a large power transformer. View the project photograph and supply format.

63 MVA pre-stacked supply

Lamination packets supplied for core assembly at the receiving factory. View the pre-stacked export reference.

MVA identifies the associated transformer application, not a stand-alone core rating. Each new order follows its own drawing and acceptance criteria.

Before quotation

Transformer core procurement questions

What is needed for a transformer core quotation?

Provide the core drawing and revision, CRGO grade and thickness, quantity, supply format and destination. Include the loss target and test basis when applicable. Use the drawing and RFQ guide to identify anything still to be agreed.

Can one enquiry cover distribution and power transformer cores?

Yes. List each drawing and quantity separately. Use the distribution transformer core page for repeat production requirements and the power transformer core page for large-core assembly and handling requirements.

How are packing and delivery confirmed?

Specify the destination, core delivery condition, lifting and unloading arrangements. Moisture protection, edge protection and restraint are selected for the shipment. Lead time is confirmed after material availability, quantity, drawing approval and production scheduling are reviewed.
